How to Do Well in Job Interview?

Last Friday,(13th February 2015) I had attended to an industrial talk.It was compulsory for all students of Kulliyah of Languages & Management. So,this is the summary of it:-

The talk mainly focuses on how to excel during jobs interview for young graduates. The first thing that the speaker told us was to set our goal in our mind about the things that we want to achieve, when we apply for a job. Our appearance on the big day has to be perfect. Like they said, first impression is everything. For examples, the way we walk in to the room, the way we dress, the way we smile and greet the interviewer, all those things are important for us in order to give a great impression in the interview.

Other than that, we were also had been told that communication is very important in getting a good job. Having a great communication skills is a bonus for us. Something that will make us stand out among other candidates that will apply for the same job as us. We must be prepared for all sort of questions whether it is about our personal life or it may be about the current issue. That is why we need to read a lot in order to gain more knowledge. Doing some research about the company that we apply for, will actually give some benefits to us. We need to know about the job task for the position that we apply for.

Last but not least, as a student we need to perform well when are still studying in university. Our academic performance is priority number one. The highest CGPA will be considered as something great that can be highlighted in our resume. Despite our academic performance, we cannot neglect our curricular activities like joining a club or society. It is also a vital component for it can train our leadership skills and soft skills that are needed in the future. It is because, nowadays those companies that want to hire people do not want a person who is just a book wise. All young graduates need to be equipped with knowledge and communication skills that they can get throughout their studies period in university. As a conclusion, we need to prepare ourselves from now with knowledge and soft skills for getting a better future.
